Helmets of the Middle Ages came in many shapes and sizes, which changed through the centuries. The earlier head gear included the conical Norman helmet and the cylindrical helmet. These protective pieces were open faced and only covered from the forehead to the nose and visibility was restricted. In later centuries, medieval head gear evolved to cover the entire face and even included a removeable visor. These helmets included the Great Helm, bassinet, and sugar loaf and provided better visibility and ventilation holes for breathing. No matter what century you are dressing for, Armor Venue is pleased to offer our line of medieval helmets featuring a wide array of options for any medieval armor ensemble.

Whether on the battlefield or in the forest, head protection is of the utmost importance and our medieval helmets are here to help. Based on historical design, this period head gear is perfect for costumes, re-enactments, and displays. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-315-0377.
