This sturdy Viking shield is constructed from wooden planks with a darkened steel rim - twin serpents of steel are stoutly riveted onto the shield face. The back of the shield is covered in suede leather and it has two adjustable leather straps for the forearm and palm grip.
Please Note: The arm straps of this shield are set parallel to the face design of the shield, which means that the dragon design is on its side when the shield is worn. This is shown in the last photo and demonstrates the orientation of the shield when worn on the arm.
