Known for its famed use in the hands of Turkish Janissaries and perhaps even Vlad the Impaler himself, this Turkish Kilij has a wide and strongly curved blade which brings great slashing power which is optimized for deep, quick cuts.
The blade is 1065 high carbon steel. The crossguard is brass and the grip is made from two halves of wood which have been durably riveted directy to the blade tang for a permanent and strong construction. The sword comes with a wooden scabbard which is wrapped in leather and completed with brass fittings and brass hanging rings.
