To be a Roman Legionnaire after the Marian reforms, one had to be under 45 years old and had to enlist for 25 years. That being said, it is suggested that those who made it that long were granted lighter duties for their last five years as a reward for their hard work. Wherever they ventured, they were easily recognized by their exceptional uniform, for even at battle, they had a certain nobility about them. This Roman Soldier Belt is ideal for reenactments, media productions or costumes. Made from real leather, six fringe strips, which are adorned in real brass ornaments, are connected to a black belt. It will be the finishing touch for your ensemble. Fits a 32 to 42-inch waist.
