This Roman Cavalier helmet is constructed from brass and a crest of red horsehair with a wood base encased in leather is mounted atop the helmet. Two steel prongs that are screwed into the helmet hold the crest into position when mounted. The interior of the helmet is unlined and included is a separate padded arming cap of simple design.
Please Note: You may need to use pliers to either close or open the distance on the crest prongs as needed in order to get a good fit with the crest. Helmet ships with the crest dismounted.
