The Celtic Mortefino made by Deepeeka is an accurate replica ornate based off historical research and authentic in its design. This incredible helmet traces back to the 5th century BC and takes its name from a Celtic burial area in northern Italy. This helmet was used for about 400 years by Celtic and Roman soldiers. Our version is made of 18 gauge steel and comes with three ring embossed cheek guards. The knob at the peak could hold plumes, crests and feathers. This Celtic Montefortino style helmet s made from 18 gauge steel. The cheekplates are hinged and a leather cord is included to tie them into position. The interior of the helmet is blackened and unlined and the helmet comes with a separate padded cotton arming cap.
