The Blackened Medieval Fluted Buckler Shield is modeled after the small shields used in Europe during the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods. It is characterized by a central handle which sits behind the boss and commonly served as a companion weapon, especially in hand to hand combat. Featuring hand forged iron construction with a black finish, this piece has an iron handle riveted to two pieces of wood and a diameter of 12 in. It is light weight and convenient to carry.
