The Norman Spangenhelm offers the iconic styling of the Viking era. They are easy to recognize due to the spangen (steel strips) that are used to join the cap and steel plates together. Made from 16-gauge steel, our cap has been crafted from two halves that have been welded as one piece along a center line; this offers strength and safety.
To attach the 3mm medium-flare nose-guard and the overlying band, steel rivets have been used for durability. To ensure that it is also comfortable to wear, the Norman Spangenhelm has been lined with leather and given a chin strap.
