Description

Legacy Arms classic Imperial Roman Gladius takes its design from a sword unearthed in the ruins of Pompeii, dating back to 79 CE. This blade reflects the practical craftsmanship of Roman legionaries, featuring a double-edged high carbon spring steel blade known for its resilience and edge retention. The handle is fashioned from hardwood, providing a sturdy grip, and is reinforced at the pommel with a polished steel spacer to enhance durability during combat. Accompanying the sword is a wooden scabbard wrapped in black leather, fitted with steel accents at the throat and tip to protect the blade and aid in carrying.

This version incorporates a slimmer handle radius to improve the grip, while the blade and handle lengths have been adjusted for better balance and maneuverability, qualities essential to the close-quarters fighting style of Roman soldiers. Keep in mind that natural variations in the wood grain and tone make each sword unique. The scabbard has also been updated with stainless steel fittings and a leather wrap for added authenticity and protection.
