Description
Similar in basic shape, and evolved from the Corinthian, the Attic Greek helmet made by Deepeeka also originated in the Attica region of Greece. This helmet has an open face which allowed for better viewing of the battlefield. Helmets of this style were carried by Greek colonists. Often worn by Roman light infantry velites, sometimes under animal skin, this style of helm became very popular among the native Italians, and the elaborate officer versions seen in Roman sculptures. This helmet is made of 18 gauge brass polished to a pure shine. This helmet is fully wearable and perfect for reenactments, role-playing, costumes, and makes an ideal collector’s piece. Due to the hand-made nature of this item, slight differences in size and finish can be expected, making it a truly unique one of a kind collector’s piece.
