Description
This holster replicates the type issued to American soldiers for the Smith & Wesson Victory revolver, a sidearm closely related to the widely used Model 10. Made from thick, durable brown leather, it features a full flap stamped with the familiar “US” marking, fastened by a brass stud to secure the revolver and shield it from the elements. The design fits barrels from 4 to 5 inches and includes belt loops shaped to accommodate the standard web belt worn by troops during World War II. These holsters were crafted to withstand the harsh conditions of the battlefield while allowing soldiers quick access to their weapon.
Fun fact: The Smith & Wesson Victory holster was prized not only for its protection against dirt and moisture but also because its straightforward design made it quick to open, a vital feature when seconds counted in combat situations.
