Our M35 Stahlhelm faithfully reproduces the iconic German combat helmet introduced in the mid-1930s and widely worn by Wehrmacht soldiers during the early years of World War II. The helmet’s defining feature is its rolled steel edge, which not only strengthens the rim but also reduces the risk of injury from sharp edges,a practical innovation of its time. Crafted from 18-gauge mild steel, this replica mirrors the original’s balance of durability and wearability on the battlefield.
Inside, the helmet is fitted with a genuine buff leather liner, designed to cradle the wearer’s head comfortably while allowing for ventilation and adjustment,just as the original did. The liner is secured with a leather chinstrap and brass buckle, typical of period construction, ensuring a snug fit during movement.
The M35’s smooth, rounded dome and gently sloping brim were carefully shaped to deflect shrapnel and debris, offering vital protection to soldiers in combat.
