Description
This shield is fashioned from carefully curved wood, shaped to better deflect incoming blows and provide reliable protection during combat. The wooden core is covered with a tough canvas layer, which helps absorb the shock of strikes and creates a suitable surface for painting heraldic symbols or personal emblems. On the reverse side, adjustable leather straps fasten the shield securely to the arm, while a padded arm guard offers additional cushioning against the force of impact. The black and white coloration reflects the traditional colors linked to the Templar Order, whose knights carried similar shields throughout the Crusades.
