Description

This popular shoulder armor evolved in the 15th century from spaulders, but covered a larger area of the body which made them a more effective form of protection. Guarding the shoulders, these pieces feature 20 gauge steel plates with blackened interiors. They come articulated with the plates being riveted to thick leather bands. A buckle at the top allow for easy attachment to a gorget or breastplate and a secure fit is ensured with adjustable buckle and leather straps that fit around the upper arm. With authentic design, these pauldrons are great for costumes and re-enactments.
