Description
This Viking axe has a head which is crafted from high carbon steel which is mounted onto a stout haft which is carved from robust hardwood. The axe is firmly seated and mounted directly onto the haft with a substantial rivet and it is then further reinforced with a steel axe wedge which is driven into the axe head socket to expand the wood for a very tight and permanent mounting.
Knotted and riveted bands of thick and high quality vegetable-tanned leather and a spiralled leather grip complete the axe.
