These symbols were believed to carry hidden meanings and could be used in casting to reveal secrets or guidance, a practice rooted deeply in Norse tradition. Each rune in this set is carefully carved and painted onto polished obsidian stones, a material prized for its smooth, glass-like surface and dark, reflective qualities that add to the mystique of the casting ritual. This collection includes 25 stones, each about an inch across: 24 marked with the traditional runes, and one left blank to represent the unknown or fate’s mystery. They come stored in a black velveteen pouch, reminiscent of the small bags Viking seers might have carried.
