Description

Valhalla is the grand hall of Asgard, where Odin himself welcomes the bravest warriors fallen in battle. According to the old sagas, half of those who die with honor on the battlefield are chosen by Odin to join the ranks of the Einherjar, preparing for the final battle at Ragnarök. For a Viking, to meet death in combat was not the end but the beginning of an eternal warrior’s feast. This belief lent fierce freedom to their fighting spirit.

This warrior’s sword is crafted with a full tang construction, ensuring strength and balance throughout the blade. The blade itself is forged from 1095 and 15N20 steel layered 176 times, creating the distinctive Damascus steel pattern known as the ocean current. The temper of the blade is carefully controlled between 54 and 55 on the Rockwell scale, striking a balance between hardness and resilience, sharp enough to bite into flesh and tough enough to withstand the rigors of battle.

The guard and pommel are fashioned from stainless steel in the traditional Viking style, featuring detailed etchings that include Auseklis, the morning star symbol revered in Baltic mythology, surrounded by intricate woven motifs. This connection to ancient symbols would have been believed to offer protection and strength to the bearer. The handle is carved from bone and wood, accented with brass spacers, then contoured and sealed to fit comfortably in the hand, ensuring a firm grip during combat.

Accompanying the blade is a sturdy leather sheath, crafted to protect the sword after a day’s fighting or travel, much like the scabbards Vikings would have used to safeguard their weapons on long journeys.
