Description
This is the regulation specification US Army Non-Commissioned Officer sword, made to meet the exacting standards set by military tradition. The blade is forged from tempered stainless steel, hand-finished to a reflective mirror polish that resists corrosion and reveals the careful work of blade tempering and polishing. The guard and pommel are cast from solid brass, then plated with 24 karat gold, combining durability with the gleam expected of an officer’s symbol of rank. The grip is tightly wrapped with silver-plated brass wire, offering a firm hold and adding to the sword’s distinguished character.
The scabbard is covered in genuine black leather, both tough and supple, with brass mounts plated in the same 24 karat gold as the fittings, creating a unified and striking appearance. A protective cloth bag is provided to safeguard the sword’s finish during storage or transport. Blade length options include 28″, 30″, 32″, and 34″, allowing the wearer to select a size that fits both personal preference and regulation requirements.
Fun Fact: The US Army NCO sword dates back to the 19th century and was originally carried by sergeants as a symbol of authority and leadership, rather than as a weapon for combat.
