Description
This Leaf Brooch Pin is forged by hand from iron, carefully shaped and twisted to follow the natural curves of a leaf at its tips. The twisting process is more than ornamentation; it work-hardens the iron, lending the pin both strength and resilience. Such a fastening was essential for securing heavy woolen cloaks, capes, or the traditional great kilt, where a dependable clasp was needed to hold thick fabric in place through daily wear and travel.
