Was Troy truly a place of legend, or simply a city remembered through the tales of bards? The ruins uncovered in Asia Minor reveal a settlement fortified with massive stone walls, a fortress where warriors once stood guard and clashed in battle. This sword carries the name of that ancient city, shaped with a broad, leaf-shaped blade typical of Late Bronze Age weaponry. The blade’s gentle taper and balanced heft would have made it well suited for both cutting and thrusting in the thick of combat. The hilt is fashioned from dense hardwood, fitted with bronze accents, materials authentic to the period, offering a firm grip capable of enduring the strain of battle. This replica includes a scabbard, as warriors of Troy would have carried their blades at the ready by their sides. If desired, the blade may be sharpened to more closely resemble a functional weapon of the era.

  • Overall length: 32 1/4″
  • Blade length: 26″ long, 2″ wide, 3/16″ thick
  • Weight: 2 lbs

Fun fact: Leaf-shaped blades were favored in the Bronze Age because their design allowed warriors to deliver both powerful cuts and precise thrusts, qualities that made them effective against the varied armor and shields of the time, much like the sword a Trojan fighter might have wielded.
