Description

The Sword of the Catholic Kings from Marto of Spain is a LIMITED EDITION reproduction of the grand ceremonial sword kept in the Real Armería in Madrid. This sword was originally forged in the 15th century during the reign of Ferdinand II of Aragon. More than a mere weapon, it stood as a powerful emblem of royal authority, carried during religious rites and political ceremonies across generations. It is famously known as the very sword used by the Catholic Monarchs to knight Christopher Columbus upon his return from his first voyage to the Americas.

The blade is made from fully tempered AISI 440 stainless steel, etched with intricate 24K gold designs that reflect the artistic style of the era. The pommel and guard are cast metal, finished with 24K gold plating, while the grip is wrapped in leather and bound with wire, replicating the look and feel of the original craftsmanship.

This sword is intended for decorative use, ideal for display on walls, in historical exhibits, or as part of costume ensembles.

Fun fact: The Sword of the Catholic Kings is limited to just 1500 pieces worldwide, each serving as a tangible connection to Spain’s rich royal heritage.
