The Swashbucklers Rudimentary Buckler Shield is modeled after the small defense popular during the Middle Ages and REnaissance era. It is characterized by a defined boss and central handle and was most commonly used as a companion shield for hand to hand combat. Featuring 16 gauge steel construction, this authentically designed shield has a distinctive rim and boss with a steel handle accented by wood scales. The handle runs length wise and is riveted securely. Lightweight, easy to carry, and attractive in appearance, this shield is great for costumes and re-enactments.
