Description
This steel cuirass is made from 20 gauge steel and is fitted with three tasset plates on the breastplate for improved frontal protection. Both halves of the armor are bisected horizontally and these halves are fitted with thick, riveted banding to improve the articulation of the armor and to ensure that the wearer can bend over and extend the torso as needed without being constrained by a rigid and unbending solid breastplate. A vertically bisected chest piece helps to aid in the movement of the upper arms and shoulders.
A series of thick leather straps which are paired with steel buckles allow the armor to be donned easily and then adjusted to size as necessary.
