Description
Forged from soft cotton velvet, this black Squire’s Cap is shaped to fit both youths and adults, serving those who step into the roles of squire, page boy, or apprentice artist. Its relaxed, slouchy form echoes the informal headwear common in the later Medieval and Renaissance days, crafted for comfort without losing its place in history. With a span of 11″ across, it fits head sizes up to 7-1/2″, offering a close yet forgiving fit. Though plain by itself, this cap was often adorned with feather plumes to show rank or allegiance, these were added separately to let each wearer make it their own. Fun fact: Squires often wore caps like this beneath their helmets to soften the blow of heavy metal and mark their journey toward knighthood.
