As a blacksmith, I recognize the care taken to recreate this full-scale replica. Forged from iron and brass with steel wire bindings, it echoes the materials and construction methods of ancient weaponry. At roughly 18 inches in length, the spear’s proportions and balance reflect the design considerations of both a functional weapon and a ceremonial object. Displayed within a protective plexiglass case, it recalls the way such treasured relics were preserved in reliquaries or guarded chambers through the ages.
