Description
The Sirupate Kukri holds a special place among Nepalese blades, forged for swift action and practical use on the battlefield or in the field. Unlike the heavier traditional kukri, the Sirupate features a longer, thinner blade measuring 15 1/4 inches, shaped in the classic thin-leaf style that favors speed and precision over brute force.
Crafted from 9260 spring steel treated with a black oxide coating to resist corrosion and wear, this blade maintains a sharp edge hardened to about 56 HRC. The full tang blade is secured by a dual-riveted handle made from G10, a durable composite material that offers a secure grip even in wet or muddy conditions. The handle itself measures 6 1/4 inches, balanced to give the wielder control and agility, so much so that it might feel as natural as drawing a pistol from your side.
This kukri weighs just over a pound and a half, with an overall length of 21 1/2 inches, making it ideal for close-quarters combat or as a utility tool when navigating rugged terrain. Its slim profile and manageable weight allow for quick strikes and precise cuts, while still retaining enough heft to perform traditional chopping tasks.
To protect the blade, it comes with a lightweight fiberglass sheath attached to a MOLLE-compatible Kydex platform. This system allows the kukri to be secured to belts, backpacks, or tactical gear in multiple positions. A notch in the handle and the sheath’s locking mechanism enable stealthy unsheathing and ensure the blade stays firmly in place during movement, even when inverted.
In the tradition of Nepalese warriors, the Sirupate Kukri is more than just a weapon,it is a trusted companion for survival and combat alike.
