Description

If you’ve not yet heard the tale of Saint George and the Dragon, gather ’round. In a distant town called Silene, there lay a vast pond, as large as a small lake, where a dreadful dragon dwelt. This beast brought poison and plague to the land, and the townsfolk, desperate to keep it at bay, offered it two sheep each day. When sheep no longer sufficed, they resorted to sacrificing children, chosen by lottery. One fateful day, the lot fell upon the king’s daughter, known as Sabra in some tellings. The king, heartbroken, begged his people to spare her, offering all his gold, silver, and half his kingdom, but the people would not relent. Clad as a bride, the princess was sent to the dragon’s lair. By chance, Saint George rode by, and though the princess urged him to flee, he vowed to stay. When the dragon emerged, George made the Sign of the Cross and charged on horseback. Together, he and the princess led the dragon back to the city. As the beast approached, terror gripped the people, but George promised to slay the dragon if they embraced Christianity and were baptized. With their consent, Saint George slew the dragon, freeing the land from its curse.

This sword is forged from 440 stainless steel, known among smiths for its strength and ability to hold a sharp edge. The blade is double-edged, crafted for both cutting and thrusting, balancing weight and agility,a true weapon for a knight. The crossguard bears medieval motifs, accented with gold hand-painted details, echoing the symbolism of the era. The handle is fashioned from wood, finished with a decorative spacer, and crowned with an open pommel enclosing a golden dragon,an emblem of the very beast Saint George faced. A sturdy leather sheath with a belt loop accompanies the sword, ready for wear at your side.
