Description
This military-issue Kindjal served as a reliable weapon for Russian troops well into the mid-20th century. Its distinctive curved, double-edged blade was crafted for close-quarters fighting, allowing a warrior to deliver swift slashes and powerful thrusts with ease. Though its roots lie in the Georgian Republic within the Russian Empire, the Kindjal became closely linked with the Cossacks, the renowned horsemen and fighters of the southern steppes. Forged from high carbon steel, the blade maintains a keen edge suited for combat, while the hardwood grip and full tang construction provide balance and resilience under the strain of battle. Traditionally, the knife is paired with a scabbard designed to shield the blade and enable quick access.

Fun fact: The Russian Kindjal’s shape and name influenced many daggers across the Caucasus, and the term “kindjal” is believed to come from the Persian “khanjar,” meaning dagger. Cossack warriors often prized the Kindjal not only as a weapon but also as a symbol of status and skill.
