This is a time when the Roman Empire controlled nearly 6.5 million km of land and there were a multitude of changes taking place in religion, language, philosophy, architecture, law and government. You would have been a soldier during one of the most influential periods in history.
Referred to as Cinculum Militaire, it is interesting that even back then, soldiers appreciated the extra detail that made them look even more powerful.
