Rome Centurion Helmet – Montefortine Type “C”
This helmet is a reproduction of the Montefortine Type “C,” commonly worn by Roman centurions during the early Imperial era. Forged from hammered brass, the helmet carries an antiqued finish that not only gives it a worn appearance but also helps resist corrosion. The red crest, traditionally crafted from dyed horsehair or feathers, runs sideways across the top to mark the wearer as an officer,a vital distinction in the ranks during battle and on the march.
