Description
In the courts of the Middle Ages, queens, ladies, and noblewomen wore mantles as a clear sign of their status and refinement. This sheer ivory veil echoes that tradition, made from a lightweight white poly fabric that drapes softly when worn. The mantle’s edges are trimmed on three sides with golden beads, reflecting the kinds of decorative embroidery and embellishments medieval seamstresses used to display wealth and rank. Women would arrange such veils in different ways, over the head, across the shoulders, or flowing down the back, complementing their gowns and the jeweled crowns of royalty. (Crowns not included.)
- Overall: 60″ x 36″
Fun fact: Regal cloaks in historical reenactment not only add authenticity but also connect the wearer to centuries-old traditions where fabric, color, and trim spoke volumes about one’s place in society.
