Description
The “Port Bei Nedau” Helmet made by Deepeeka is an accurate replica ornate based off historical research and authentic in its design. This helmet was named after the place where it was discovered in Switzerland. This type was commonly used during the 1st century BC. Our version is made of 18 steel, but the original model was made of iron. It features a full and deep shell. This Celtic Port Bei Nidau Helmet is in a style used by Gauls and other Celts around the 1st century BC – helmets of this style influenced the later development of similar styled Roman helmets. This reproduction is made from 18 gauge steel. The cheekplates are hinged and a leather cord is included to tie them into position. The interior of the helmet is blackened and unlined and the helmet comes with a separate padded cotton arming cap.
