This Olmutz nasal helmet, also known as a Moravian helm, is forged from 18 gauge steel and shaped into a conical form that helps to deflect incoming strikes. Its most notable feature is the narrow nasal guard,a solid strip of metal that extends down to shield the nose. This design provides vital protection along the center of the face while allowing the wearer to maintain clear vision and steady breathing, essential for staying alert amid the chaos of battle. Inside, the helmet is fitted with a cloth liner that can be adjusted for comfort, and a chinstrap to keep the helm securely in place during movement and combat.
