Description

This Viking drinking horn honors Olaf the Peacock, a prominent chieftain from the early Icelandic Commonwealth. The horn is fashioned from naturally shed cattle horn, carefully shaped and polished to bring out the natural grain and subtle hues unique to each piece. The painted peacock feather design, applied using traditional pigments, symbolizes status and beauty, qualities much admired in Viking society. A solid brass rim encircles the drinking end, reinforcing the horn’s structure while providing a smooth edge for drinking. Attached is an adjustable leather belt holster, making it practical to carry during journeys or feasts. Each horn is unique, shaped by nature’s hand and the smith’s craft.
Note: Because every horn is formed by nature, size, shape, and color will vary. It’s wise to wash the horn thoroughly before use to remove any residues left from the crafting process.

  • Overall height: Approximately 12″
  • Capacity: Roughly 8 ounces
