This bokken is crafted entirely from solid hardwood, shaped and finished to resemble a katana with a striking bat motif running along the length of the blade. As a blacksmith who’s worked with many training weapons, I can tell you that a well-made wooden sword like this allows you to spar for hours without the lethal danger of a sharpened blade. The handle is wrapped in black nylon, which helps keep a firm grip even when your hands get sweaty during practice. A hand guard secured with metal rings offers protection by deflecting accidental strikes away from your fingers.
Accompanying the bokken is a specially designed back sheath made from durable polyurethane, reinforced with steel studs. This sheath can hold two bokkens at once and features adjustable nylon straps that let you carry it comfortably on your back, leaving your hands free. The sheath’s design allows for quick access while keeping the wooden swords secure during movement.
