Description
If you’re looking to complete your suit of armor for a reenactment or festival, this set offers essential protection true to the style of medieval plate harnesses. Included are two pauldrons and two rondels, one for each shoulder and armpit. Rondels are small, circular steel plates historically positioned near the armpit to shield this vulnerable joint from thrusts and cuts. The pauldrons themselves are crafted from five overlapping steel plates, riveted together to allow a full range of motion while maintaining solid defense for the shoulder and upper arm.
Thick leather straps secure the pauldrons comfortably in place, adjustable to fit a variety of adult sizes. Two 27-inch leather cords are provided to attach the rondels firmly to your armor, ensuring they stay in position during movement or combat. Constructed from 18-gauge steel, this set balances durability with manageable weight, suitable for active use in reenactments, theatrical performances, or living history events. Do note that the neck plate shown in some images is not included with this set.
