The Medieval Archers Combat Buckler Shield (Black) is modeled after the small shields used in Europe during the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods. It is characterized by a central handle which sits behind the boss and commonly served as a companion weapon, especially in hand to hand combat. Featuring hand forged iron construction, this piece has an iron handle riveted to two pieces of wood and a diameter of 11 in. It is light weight and convenient to carry. It also promises to be effective for close combat re-enactments and is a great compliment to any costume ensemble.
