Description
While the choice armor for the Romans was the lorica segmentata, it left the arms exposed, thus making the arm attachment a truly valued piece. Commonly called a manica, this armor offers added protection with a leather backing accompanied by attached overlapping metal segments, worn over the arm. Crafted from 18 gauge mild steel, leather straps with buckles securely hold the arm attachment in place. This piece was especially desired by gladiators, but was also worn by Roman soldiers on the battlefield. Made by Deepeeka
