Description
The Lobster Helmet made by Deepeeka is an accurate replica ornate based off historical research and authentic in its design. This incredible helmet is part of the close helm family, which were worn by knights and other combatants in the late medieval and early renaissance era. It carried a visor that pivoted up and fully enclosed the head and neck area, unlike earlier helms such as the sallet and barbute, which sometimes may have left the wearer more exposed, or needed a bevor to be added to protect the chin and neck. Our version has two addition face protection bars. This Lobster Tailed Pot Helmet is constructed from 18 gauge steel. The visor and lobster tail neck plates are articulated and the cheekplates are fitted to the helm with leather hinges. The inside of the helmet is blackened and it has an integrated, adjustable leather suspension liner. The chin strap is leather with an adjustable brass buckle.
