Description
This Lionheart tunic is fashioned from deep blue ultra suede, selected for its sturdy texture and rich hue that harks back to the fabrics favored by knights and nobility. Across the chest, a fully embroidered Coat-of-Arms is stitched with gold and silver metal threads, shimmering much like the heraldic surcoats worn into battle or tournaments. The rear lacing near the neck allows the wearer to adjust the fit, reflecting the tailored garments of medieval warriors who required both protection and freedom of movement. The mail shirt and belt shown in some illustrations are not part of this tunic. S/M size only.
Note: The Small/Medium size is intended to fit individuals approximately 5′ 6″ to 5′ 11″ tall, while the Large/X-Large suits those 6′ tall and above, mirroring the general stature of knights who donned such armor tunics.
Fun fact: The Lionheart tunic takes its name and design cues from King Richard I of England, known as Lionheart, whose golden lion emblem symbolized bravery and noble spirit, emblems that knights proudly displayed on their garments and shields in battle.
