Description
Lamellar Armor was an improvement over scale armor, for scale armor needed a backing and was rather inflexible. Lamellar scales are laced together in a pattern directly to each other, They overlap one another and can move against each other better than the fixed scale armor can. Numerous cultures have used lamellar armor, though it was concentrated in more eastern regions. Late Romans, Byzantines, Russians, Mongols and the Japanese and more used lamellar armor extensively.
This Lamellar body armor is made from leather scales sewn laced together with leather strips. Six brass buckles and leather strips can be used to alter its fitting. The leather is finished with an antiqued brown appearance. The leather scales are approximately 1/8 thick.
