Description
Traditionally, this kukri is wielded in the sacred Gurkha ceremony to sever the head of a water buffalo with a single, decisive stroke, demonstrating the blade’s balance and cutting power. Extremely rare, only one kukri is issued to each Gurkha Regiment in India, standing as a symbol of honor and heritage. The handle is carved from native hardwood, shaped to fit the hand comfortably and endure demanding use. The polished steel blade stretches over 2-1/2 feet in length and is a stout 3/8″ thick, built to withstand the rigors of both combat and ceremonial duties. Each blade arrives factory sharp and ready for use.
Fun fact: The large ceremonial kukri blade’s inward curve is designed to concentrate force at the point of impact, making each strike more effective in both battle and ritual contexts.
