The latest in the Windlass Cobra Steel line is this survival knife modeled after the Spartan Short Sword, known as the Lakonia. Unlike other classical Greek swords, the Lakonia features a shorter blade, a design choice favored by the Spartans to bring the warrior “one step closer to the enemy,” enabling quicker, more controlled strikes in tight combat. The knife is constructed with a full profile tang, providing strength and balance, and fitted with hard rubber scales for a secure grip even in wet conditions. It comes complete with a leather scabbard for safe carrying.
