Description
This metal pendant is forged to replicate the wax seal once used by the Order of the Knights Templar, a medieval Christian military brotherhood known for their role in the Crusades. At its center lies a cross, surrounded by the Latin inscription “Sigillum Militum Xristi,” meaning “Seal of the Army of Christ.” The design carries the weathered appearance of an artifact touched by the passage of centuries, achieved through an antique finish that suggests its long and storied history. The pendant is suspended from a sturdy, multi-linked 30” chain, crafted to withstand daily wear and the demands of an active life. It is housed in a velvet box, and the reverse side can be engraved with up to three initials, allowing for a personal connection to this piece rooted in medieval heritage.
- Pendant measures 1-3/8″ in diameter, 1/16″ thick
Fun fact: The Knights Templar seal served not only as a mark of authority but also as a symbol of brotherhood and secrecy, used to authenticate letters and documents within the order’s closely guarded ranks.
