Description
The heart of the Order of the Knights Templar was their unwavering faith, faith in God, in their sacred mission, and in the brotherhood that bound them. This dagger stands as a symbol of that steadfast spirit.
Forged in the traditional manner, the blade is crafted from high-carbon steel, carefully shaped and heat-treated to provide a balance of strength and agility. Holding this dagger, you feel the weight and form that would have been familiar to those who defended the Holy Land centuries ago. The grip is wrapped by hand in genuine leather, offering a firm hold even in the heat of battle, while the solid steel fittings are finished to withstand the demands of combat. The pommel carries a reversed inset of the Knights Templar Signet, designed to function as a wax seal for documents, reflecting the practical roles these warriors often held beyond the battlefield. Along the crossguard, the Latin phrase Militum Xristi, meaning Seal of the Soldiers of Christ,is etched on both sides, a constant reminder of their sacred oath. The blade itself features a diamond cross-section forged from high-carbon steel, with a pierced cross of the Knights Templar at the ricasso, serving both as a symbol and a mark of craftsmanship. Accompanying the dagger is a custom top-grain leather scabbard, fitted with a belt loop and locking stud to secure the weapon when not in use. The blade arrives sharpened, suitable for display or reenactment, and pairs well with the Faithkeeper Sword of the Knights Templar.
Fun fact: The reverse seal on the pommel reflects the Templars’ unique role as bankers and diplomats, who used such seals to authenticate their letters and documents across medieval Europe and the Holy Land.
