Description
With a blade forged from 440 stainless steel and polished to a mirror finish, this longsword pays tribute to King Solomon, the biblical monarch famed for his wisdom and a central figure in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The golden-plated guard is crafted with symbolic detail: at each end of the quillons stand Lions of Judah wearing kippahs, representing the Israelite tribe of Solomon’s father, David, from whom Jesus of Nazareth is also descended. The crossguard’s center bears a dual-sided inset,one side displays a Menorah, while the reverse depicts two figures carrying the Ark of the Covenant into Solomon’s First Temple in Jerusalem, both images set upon a Star of David.
The handle is accented with gold rings and wrapped in faux leather for grip, culminating in a pommel adorned with a large Star of David. The scabbard’s chape and locket feature etched scenes, including an ornate portrayal of the Queen of Sheba’s visit to Solomon, with the queen framed by the gifts she brought to the legendary king.
