Description
Original pieces like this are rare to come by these days, but this replica takes its design straight from an authentic belt used by Japanese soldiers. It’s crafted from sturdy top grain leather, showing the kind of strong stitch work you’d expect on gear built to withstand the rigors of the battlefield. The belt features multiple pouches sized specifically to hold Arisaka rifle cartridges snugly, preventing rattling or loss during movement. Alongside these is a leather frog,a loop designed to carry the Arisaka bayonet securely at the soldier’s side. The buckle is made from solid brass, chosen for its toughness and natural resistance to rust and corrosion, qualities vital for gear exposed to the elements.
- Length: Approximately 43-3/4″ long
Fun fact: During World War II, Japanese ammunition belts often featured a quick-release mechanism, allowing soldiers to discard the belt swiftly if caught in the thick of battle or when switching to a different loadout.
