This polearm was forged with the purpose of matching the speed and precision of the katana, a weapon favored by skilled fighters from distant lands. Its design balances offense and defense, suited for warriors who require both reach and control on the battlefield. The 20-inch head is crafted from high carbon steel, featuring four parrying hooks designed to catch or deflect an opponent’s blade. At the top, a 2 1/4″ by 18″ cutting blade delivers powerful slashes capable of cutting through armor and flesh alike. The shaft is fashioned from seasoned hardwood, finished dark and wrapped with studded leather to provide a steady grip even amid the chaos of combat. On the opposite end, the butt-cap is fitted with a small axe-shaped blade, allowing for effective backhand strikes and fighting in close quarters.
