The Medieval Hounskull Pigface Bascinet is designed after the original 15th century open faced military head gear. This style emerged from an iron or steel skull cap and extended down the sides and back to offer maximum protection for the neck. This reproduction features 18 gauge steel craftsmanship with brass adornments. It comes with a removable visor that includes 28 breathing holes for ventilation and wide eye holes for excellent visibility. To ensure a comfortable fit, an adjustable leather liner is also included. Fully functional with true medieval flair, this helmet is great for costumes, collections, and re-enactments.
