Description
Circa 37 AD
Life in the arena was a harsh trial where every move counted, and a single strike could mean survival or death. Among the weapons favored by gladiators, the sword was a trusted tool, compact enough for swift attacks yet sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of close combat. This Gladiator Sword takes its cues from the Iberian short sword tradition, prized for its balance between sharp cutting edges and a pointed tip suited for thrusting. The blade is forged from well-tempered high carbon steel, providing a resilient edge capable of both slicing through flesh and armor gaps, and delivering quick, precise stabs. The antiqued brass fittings are not mere decoration but serve to reinforce the hilt, while the hardwood grip is shaped to fit snugly in the hand, reducing the chance of slipping during the heat of battle. Accompanying the sword is a scabbard designed for secure carriage and rapid deployment.
